Summer 2010

It has once again been forever since I’ve blogged. But hey, better late than never, right? There are so many things that I have been holding on to that I am going to try to have to fit into this blog. Where to start… where to start... I guess the best thing to talk about first is the season. The word that comes to mind about this season is “roller coaster.” I’m not talking about me personally, I’m talking about this team. With all of the injuries and adversity that this team had to go through, there were so many highs and lows that were forced upon us. Although it is tough to really appreciate the things this team did due to our first round loss, it was a great season. The fight, character, and heart of this team really showed throughout the season. But, enough about basketball.

The summer is here. Even though it came faster than anyone wanted, it’s still one of my favorite times of the year. It’s a time for me personally to unwind for a little before I start back working out, and catch up with my family and friends. So far my summer has pretty much consisted of watching the playoffs, sitting by my pool with my three boys that live with me, and playing dominoes. Lol! I know it sounds boring but if you were around these guys, I guarantee you wouldn’t stop laughing for hours. I haven’t taken any vacations because I’m still waiting to decide where to go. There are some trips I really want to take, but I just don’t want to stay on a plane that long! lol. After the season , I’m so burnt out of getting on planes that I just feel like chillen. I’m not going to lie, I do miss Portland though. The city has definitely grown on me. I think it’s because it’s just so different from Phoenix that I like the change. Well, it’s getting kind of late and I’m going to work out in the morning, so this is the end of this blog. Keep checking in for updates as I am going to write a lot more this summer.

It's great to see you blogging again JB, I hope the summer treats you well and that your constant, tireless work ethic lets you improve more and more. They say the jump from sophomore to junior is the most important in terms of improvement, show them that's true next season.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the season. It sounds like you have a very smart and mature perspective on the season. I really hope you and the Blazers continue to become better fits for each other. Enjoy the summer. I'm already excited for what you guys can accomplish in 2011!

Jarred, come back to Portland. You are missing the best part of the year. The summers here are utterly fantastic. Instead of getting on a plane, go on an overnight hiking trip around Mt. Hood. It is truly beautiful! Have a great summer.
